Why would somebody do this?

I had some free time and a spare text editor laying around. Also some deranged yet supportive friends. And I started putting stories together and nobody made me stop, so now we’re here.

What is the “this” that somebody do’ed?

The Riotfish, Inc. series

The Riotfish are mercenaries in a near-future alternate-history sci-fi setting. They solve client’s problems creatively, which is a nice way of saying “with a breathtaking scope of collateral damage.” Also they occasionally shoot/break/burn down the wrong stuff entirely.

They can’t catch a break, what with Murphy’s Law chasing them down and beating them with a stick. But they’ll keep trying to survive, get contracts, and make enough money to get them through the next month.
